SMALL BUSINESS RECEIVES ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT | |

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge Office recently awarded a $27 million contract to LeGacy-Critique Joint Venture for administrative support services for the Oak Ridge Office and offices under the purview of Oak Ridge. The contract will employ 94 people. “We were impressed by the proposal made by LeGacy-Critique,” said Gerald Boyd, Manager of DOE’s Oak Ridge Office. “Their selection as our contractor gives us an opportunity to utilize the abilities of a small business based in Tennessee.” The Brentwood, Tennessee based company is a women owned small business with 8(a) certification by the Small Business Administration. Chiquita R. Young serves as president. “We are very excited about our selection as the Administrative Support Services Contractor,” Young said. “We welcome the opportunity to serve the DOE and its critical missions in Oak Ridge. We have selected a superior Management Team to assure quality services and customer satisfaction. We recognize that administrative support is not about products but about people – our clients and our employees.” Administrative services tasks in the contract to be performed include: reproduction, graphics, database management, technical writing and editing, photographic support, mail and file services, payment processing, visitor assistance, records retirement, security clearance processing, coordination of foreign national visits and other general office duties. The contract will run through October 15, 2010, with a 2-year base and three 1-year options.
